What is Bazi? ＋

Bazi (八字, “eight characters”) is the Chinese system of the Four Pillars of Destiny. Your birth year, month, day and hour each form a pillar of two characters — a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch — giving eight characters that map to the five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water). Reading their balance reveals personality, relationships and life timing.

Is Bazi the same as Saju? ＋

They’re the same Four-Pillars system. Bazi is the Chinese name and tradition; Korean Saju is the same method with its own interpretive style. This calculator computes the identical pillars either way, with true solar-time correction.

What is the Day Master in Bazi? ＋

Your Day Master (日主) is the Heavenly Stem of your birth day — the character that represents you. There are ten, the Yang and Yin of each element. It’s the anchor of the whole chart.

Do I need my exact birth time? ＋

Birth time gives the Hour pillar and makes the reading more precise, but you can still get an accurate Year, Month and Day pillar reading without it.
