Comeback Meaning

컴백 · K-pop & Korean fandom term

ComebackA K-pop “comeback” is when an artist returns with a new release — a single, EP or album — not a return from a hiatus.

In K-pop, a comeback just means a new release — every time a group drops a new single, EP or album with promotions, it’s a “comeback,” even if they were never gone. A group can have several comebacks a year.

A comeback comes with a “concept” (a theme and aesthetic), a title track, music shows, and teaser content. Comeback season is when fandoms go into overdrive streaming and voting.
